Description of the awards:
2006 - Alberta Municipal Affairs - Barrier Free Design Committee for significant contributtions in advancing the principles of Barrier free design in Alberta (developing city policy on accessibilitiy for City owned/operated buildings).
2006 - Persons with Developmental Disabilities Board, "Norm McLeod Community Inclusion Award" for dedicated service to promote community inclusion of persons with disabilities
in all aspects of community life.
2001 - Autism Society of Edmonton Area, 30th Anniversary Awards Award for Exceptional Long-term volunteer service focusing on improving education and support services to children and adults with autism.
1998 - Premier's Silver Award of Excellence for work with Family and Social Services, Abuse of Adult with Autism report, and Protocol for responding to abuse.
1993 - City of Edmonton Advisory Board for Persons with Disabilities recognition for four years of volunteer service.
1993 - National Access Awareness week, Edmonton Eduvation planning committee for three years of volunteer service.
